EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based psychotherapy protocol that enables people to heal and overcome mental health symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of trauma or upsetting life experiences. When these events occur, negative thoughts, emotions and physical sensations associated with the memory may get stuck in the body and mind and impact one’s ability to cope and cause significant suffering and distress or negative patterns and habits.
